Buy her a chubby kitten as a present, then he will grow up into a fat cat who you and her will have both grown to love, because everyone loves fat cats and therefore everyone will be happy. Trust me I'm an engineer ;)
But if that's too much effort I'd suggest just stroking her cat when he/she walks up to you, be gentle, let it come to you and ask if you can fed it a few times so it will associate you with food and like you more.
