Cats are not for majorly insecure people or those who demand to be in control of everything. You will never have control of a cat like you would a dog & they can make you feel unnecessary, until it's time to be fed at least...
& trying to establish a relationship with a cat is not likely to work. If it was going to happen it probably would have by now.
I have 2 cats, one seems to hate everyone but me, the other will let ANYONE pat it (kids, people walking by).
I think it's ironic you call cats selfish yet you want to get rid of someone elses pet...
