      Cats were specifically bred to. That's why they exist in great number in our homes and cities in the first place. And you thumbs uppers are dumb shits.

        Well then we sure fucked that up, didn't we? Throwing our under qualified brains into such a technical endeavor. Hell, we still don't know what pleases us. One thing is for certain, they didn't ask to exist as such. We created the responsibility and now we constantly try to back out of it. It still comes back to us as the dicks, not the cats.
