She may not understand, but she likely knows you are lying. She's probably just concerned. If you don't want to talk to her about it, talk to someone else. Sometimes we all need a little help working through problems. There is no shame in that.
It's not about shame. And sometimes I agree I need help but then I also know it won't work unless I verbalize it in the right way and sometimes I'm just not ready. Sometimes I won't be ready until I have scripted it and rescripted it a couple of times but then I'm glad I waited. I'm just a great deal better communicating with writing than with oral communication.
