I like anime, but I have to agree with what you're saying. The reasons you listed are exactly why I turn down watching a lot of these shows, because I'm sick and tired of the cliches. I've found some good ones that were actually really original, like Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni and Fullmetal Alchemist, but yeah. A lot of animes are just the same old thing over and over again with different characters, and I hate it.
The main thing that bothers me is the fanbase that some anime have. From what I've seen, Naruto (and Hetalia, to a lesser degree) fans are absolutely nuts. I can only take so much "OMG Sasuke's my bishie!" and "That bitch stole my <insert hot character>" before I begin to hate anything related to the show with a passion.
