  • I can understand this. Good friend of mine always said she never wanted kids, didn't like them, and, when customers with noise-making kids would go into the bar/restaurant she worked at part time, would say "What..Is..That? That should not be in here". Very anti-kid and family.

She met a guy who has 4 kids, mostly young ones. Now? Everything she says is "my daughter", "I have a 5 year old", and "family time is the best". One night, she was bartending and really going at the family stuff, and said to one of the other girls "I know I talk about them a lot", to the unspoken agreement of a lot of people. Even I'd like to see her tone down the kid and family crap a bit, and get back to the real her..Professional, funny, and conversational on things other than the guy's kids.

    • Thats the most annoying part, even people without kids do it in relationships. Like they completely forego their own personality and interests to like meld with some other person and lose their own identity. Gets worse when they have kids. I feel like to have a successful relationship with somebody you gotta give each other space and remain independent people, its the least healthy for kids in that situation. How is a kid going to develop any kind of independent personality when all they are allowed to be is a small part of a family "unit?"
