Is it normal i had a recurring nightmare?

Ok so I had a dream when I was younger about a female screaming as she ran around my bedroom. I wasn't really sure what she wanted but it was scary as all Hell.
When we moved I had hoped the nightmares would stop but they didn't. She was still running around, screaming.
The way the dream worked was that I was paralyzed to my bed, eyes closed. This meant I could only hear her footfalls and screaming.
Now that we've moved again the nightmares have stopped.
The reason I'm asking if this was normal because this was the only nightmare I had. I'd have a few different ones but this was usually the main nightmare and it would happen once or twice a week.
Was this normal?

Yes, it's normal. When I was a child I used to have several recurring dreams that scared me. In one I started to walk downstairs to the basement and then floated the rest of the way. In the basement was a swarthy, pirate looking guy standing over a big cauldron. He would look up at me and I was so scared I would wake up.

Maybe it was the ghost of the gypsy sailor?

You're nowhere near chronic nightmare status so don't worry about it.

I had a weird dream like you did. I went to see a therapist and it said it's nothing but a dream. So yeah it's not weird. It's normal!😄😁

Scared the shit out of me when I was a kid bro.
All good now though, I started to yell at it angrily and when it realised I wasn't scared anymore it stopped.
