ignore all these haters. unwanted attention is unwanted attention, and your reaction to it is perfectly normal and valid. keep dressing how you want, acting how you want, and doing everything else the way you want to, and keep believing in yourself. you're not somebody else's little trophy or statue to gawk at and, if the people staring at you don't understand that, that's not your problem or through any fault of your own.
