Is it normal i find this slightly hot

I was having some deep conversation s with some friends and a few people who are more of acquaintances. We got on to talking about society and ideologies such as communism and politics, and the girl in the group said 'yeah I'm definitely a marxist, I've read the communist manifesto'. I found this quite hot, but I think it was the way she said it. I feel this is fairly weird.

Young males are turned on by anything.
She could have said, "I don't pay attention to politics" and some guy would be turned on.

People wanna feel politically edgy now a days. To be the most edgy right now would be a full blown trump supporter they get more hate than communists!

I'd ask her more questions about what she really knows..Sounds like she said it for the shock value and attention...I briefly dated a woman around election time in 2016 who said she was a supporter of the current (I won't say his name, I hate him so much), "Because Obama"..She had no other reasoning and just parroted what she heard elsewhere.

When I asked, directly, her to tell me what about Obama, she had nothing to offer. Only admitted "I only said that because people react".. So, she had no clue about anything, was just saying shit for effect. We were on the outs anyway, but that sealed it for me..Too stupid to have her own mind and opinion.

I have no tolerance for people like that. Completely clueless and uneducated about something, yet, yap out whatever they hear.

Also can't stand when someone has a negative view of something or person due to their own, unrelated experience elsewhere and no knowledge of that person or stuff. My one sister is completely non-political and does not vote. We got into it in the car one day (bad choice..I was trapped), and she started in about the Clintons. Now, I know she has no real clue about politics or history, and just doesn't care. She said "he was the worst". I know her reasoning, and it has nothing to do with policy, the country, etc..

Her ex husband cheated on her (a bunch of times), and all she remembers about Clinton was the supposed affair thing. And, the woman her ex cheated on her with, including paying condo rent for a year, was blonde. As was Clinton's accuser. It's guilt by very-distant association, not politics or knowledge. I can't respect that one bit, and told her so.

She's the same with pretty much all blondes. I showed her a pic of one of my friends, who's professional, a great mom, involved with charities, and damn beautiful. Very substantial woman. And what's the first thing my sister said? "She looks trashy". No reason other than her hair color and association to the woman her ex cheated on her with. Didn't matter that my friend was a good mom and organized a coat and food drive. The fact she was blonde made her "trashy".

Maybe, but honestly I'm not too sure, she'd most likely be dominant, it doesn't take long to realise she is like that.
