When I was in school, we were permitted to go door to door, but they definatly didn't encourage it. My parents didn't allow me to do it either, and the reason for this is because of the potential dangers of it. The cases of pedophiles are being heard of far more now than they were decades ago, and although we had many of them then (don't get me wrong) not as many stories were heard of child rape and molestation were being spread as it is today, and people felt safer letting their children out (this information does not come from me but from elders I talked to, so if you want to argue, I'm not the person to do it with). But, the bottom line is, they're just trying to keep funraisers safe for kids. That's all.
Is it normal I find school fundraisers so annoying ?
