School fundraisers are pretty annoying. Plus, it is unfair since some kids don't know people who can afford to buy what you're selling. The prizes are awesome but for me they were impossible to get.
I dislike that schools will set up things to favor a certien groups of kids . I also find it wrong when they have contests for only certein kids like , ( were giving away a free computer you can only enter if your low income , hispanic, wear glasses , have oriental parents , have F in all your classes . Why would they seperate the kids we dont need seperation in schools but they always have to do something to seperate kids. Like the funsriasers cator to rich kids , the contest cator to poor and disabled poeple . Is it right that the schools seem to want to seperate race, money class , and children as a whole ? Also why is it our responsibility to get money for the schools do we not already spend a fortune on PE cloth and school things we buy for school ?
I've never heard of disability programs like the free computer one you mentioned. The school fundraisers that I've done, everybody had a shot at getting that laptop. Schools are barely receiving any money, so I don't blame them for asking their students to help out. I just don't think it's fair since some kids have rich families and others don't.
I know , its just not fair that a school is allowed to exclude us like that . I always new the kid that would get to that impossible 100 iteams sold , and that kid had a huge family all of his family including his parents were rich I think its unfiar to exclude us in this manner . Atleast if they tell us go door to door its fiar becuase whoever has the best pitch wins and even if someone does sell it all to rich family the rest of us still have a fighting chance rather than feeling like were losers becuase we cant support the schools when they that we have not got the means to even do so .
