I tend to avoid this type of arrogance and compliment fishing. A person's looks are not a part of their being worth judging them on, especially when other criteria on which to judge them are more forthcoming.
Rightly or wrongly, people who draw attention to their looks tend to draw attention away from the things they have to say.
Is it normal I find it hard to believe I'm in the minority here?
