Is it normal i find it hard to believe i'm in the minority here?

I tend to avoid this type of arrogance and compliment fishing. A person's looks are not a part of their being worth judging them on, especially when other criteria on which to judge them are more forthcoming.

Rightly or wrongly, people who draw attention to their looks tend to draw attention away from the things they have to say.

I'm pretty sure Op doesn't really have a problem with ItDuz's arrogance or ego, but with the fact that he finds males more beautiful than females.

It could be that you're in the minority or it could be that those who feel the same as you don't care enough to mention it, giving the impression that you're the only one.

Some people enjoy indulging other people's vanity, even in a playful way. It's probably a sort of reciprocal attention seeking (a.k.a. circle jerk).

I love how people complain about how "society brings everyone down and makes them feel like they are inferior." And then you preach, "be happy with who you are". And then ItDuz comes along and openly expresses his appreciation and satisfaction with his own appearance and you all throw a bitch fit. It's amazing really.

I always thought it was more of a running joke than anything else. This user (who shall not be named!!) seems like he genuinely IS really into his looks etc. But any comments he makes about it also seem like a humorous, over-the-top kind of arrogance. And if this mystery user actually is being 100% serious and there's not a hint of tongue-in-cheek; well that's still pretty funny, to me anyway.

So I think you might be taking it a bit too seriously. And the real question might be, why does it bother you so much?
That's just how I see it anyway.

Real friendships aren't built on vanity so the people being nice are probably his frenemies. It's easier to fake liking a vain person than it is to stand up to them cuz they totally go psycho when they aren't worshipped.
