There are so many people on is it normal who leave such immature comments. I know you're so likely to come across some stupid comments, but there are some that just annoy the crap out of me. Seems to be a male thing more than female. Does anyone else get fed up with this?
If someone on the internet sounds like a immature kid I just assume it actually is a child. I find this makes it a lot easier to deal with it.
I don't think it's a male thing, it's just more obvious with men. Immature boys usually make inappropriate and gross jokes, while immature girls tend to be arrogant and dull.
It annoys me too but I find people who lost their childlike playfulness even sadder.
Sometimes, I feel like inability to tolerate immaturity is a sign of immaturity itself :P
I think everyone is guilty of being immature once in awhile, no matter the sex. It's normal to be annoyed by it, when discussing something that calls for a more serious tone.
Sometimes I leave troll comments but I know when to be serious and give advice.
But it's the internet pal, there's nothing we can do about the immature people on it.

However, I am not against what you said,
I agree, there is a time and place for joking around,
but sometimes, people want serious answers.
It's sad to think that most of the people on here are full grown adults as well.
The grand majority of users on this site are under-aged teens. Look up a few of the past polls about users' ages and you'll see it.
Personally, there are a few trolls I like here; they make me laugh. But for every good one, it seems like there are three more who suck.

You're not supposed to take the internet seriously. I make jokes about torturing kittens to get a reaction but i wouldn't hurt animals in real life, yet people take my comments very seriously. I think the ones who get offended or overreact when something is obviously meant as a joke or trolling, are the immature ones.
Because making fun about torturing animals which is a real diagnosed serious complex/disorder is sooooo fucking matureee.
