As for the rest, I have no idea how to answer you, that doesn't sound normal but I can't think based on what you've said here of a single possible explanation for why you feel that way.
Yes, I gave human medication to a cat. I hope you realize when you see a vet they give them human medication as well. There is no real difference in most medication. Another thing, I gave my cat aspirin because he was in pain and running fever. If you do your research, you'll find that aspirin is what it says to give your cat. It says to give your cat 81mg of aspirin which is an over-the-counter baby aspirin. Also, I had taken one of the cats I had a few years ago to the vet and they told me to give my cat aspirin.
