Is it normal i feel pain as a shape and color

I always feel certain shapes and colors depending on what pain I'm in. Head aches are orange triangles. Cramps are sark blue ovals. Soar muscles are red squares. Is this normal?

Pretty normal thing. It's called synesthesia, and I have it with numbers and letters to a small extent.

    Synesthesia.

I have it to, but differently...

My pain doesn't visualise itself as shapes.
    But that's normal:)

It's interesting.... I also have it where things are outlined in colors, but I think that's for Indigo Children and not necessarily Synesthesia.

@devilla, I admittedly cracked up when I read your comment. Very nice. But in response to OP, I would agree with the other commenters that it's probably synesthesia. Synesthesia is a harmless condition in which those who have it experience emotions in the form of visual sensations. I don't completely understand how it works, as I've never experienced it, but it sounds incredibly beautiful and artistic to me. So don't label yourself as a freak or worry that you have a serious medical issue. You have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of about this! While I wouldn't call it normal in the sense that most people don't experience it, I see it as something great: a rare and beautiful gift. Enjoy it :)

yup, I have a friend with synesthesia and her feelings are all shapes and colors, it does sound beautiful. Many great artists had it.
