      People's Republic of China (to be specific)

      Huge population
      Great respect
      Dominant in electronic hardware
      Seems all doctors etc are Chinese these days!

      Basically people like the Chinese, whereas the US is generally disliked.

      The US has a huge deficit
      The gun control is out of hand (actually its just plain dumb)
      Religion although supposedly 'separate from state' seems to have a idiotic dominance
      Strangely people don't respect arrogance, even India men are more respectful!
      Funding seems to be misplaced, not looking ahead anymore
      Civil community issues (rich/poor black/white individuals/gangs)
      Many people don't want to visit America anymore because TV always shows massive crime, pollution and corruption!

      But that's just off the top of my head. Just rambled as a thought about 'why'
