  • It's normal if you haven't been able to find another social outlet IRL. At least you haven't immersed yourself in social media and are obsessing on people you know are "real" or actually interacted with IRL once, so I am going to give you a lot of credit for that.

It's hard to find another environment as diverse as high school to link your life to. But that's what becoming an adult is all about - you go to college, you hone your interests, become an expert at something, have a career, make selective interactions and value your free time, which is becoming more scarce, with people you care about and who like you for who you are now, today. Your interests change. You meet a partner and have a relationship. You plan a life. Get a house. Have kids and raise them. Look back on your life with satisfaction and leave a legacy behind.

If you're not ready for this kind of thing yet, but like the social scene and drama of high school, go to college, or take some more classes in college if you already went, join groups/teams/associations that have shared interests.

Someday you won't even be on Fb much anymore, and it will be all good.
