It makes Christmas more magical. My imagination ran wild as a kid. I loved Christmas because it felt so wondrous. I don't really see any harm in it, if you were to raise a kid on all the cold hard facts of adult life that they eventually are to find out anyway then that would sour their childhood. Let them have their magic, wonder, awe, joy and excitement.

It's all about fun and magic and the total irresponsibility of youth. No harm, no foul, in my mind.
