I think there are a lot of people who can do a drug a handful of times and not become "addicted". That doesn't mean it's not dangerous though. Maybe you're lucky and don't get addicted as easily, but addiction can be subtle.
From what I hear, most people who get addicted to something don't really remember a moment that they got "hooked". It just becomes something that they start to do more and more until they try to stop and realize they can't.
tl;dr... best to probably just not mess around too much with that stuff.
