In the psych class I took last year, they claimed that the physical addiction to substances wasn't nearly as strong as what people had claimed. Obviously withdrawal was still there but the cravings were more of a psychological need than a physical one.
So, you might simply not be open to being addicted (a good thing).
That was all conjecture as far as I know, though. No solid proof.
I would agree with these claims. I wave no urge to smoke cigarettes unless I am drinking or around others who are smoking. I go days without drinking or smoking weed but if I'm in an atmosphere where my friends are drinking and smoking I want to also. This is most apparent when I have to drive and hence refrain.
Is it normal I dont get addicted to things?
