I'm the type of person who, if I talk about my interests, has people glazing over. I'm not into football, or television, I couldn't care less about cooking or reality TV (especially reality TV). So I don't fit in. I don't do small-talk either, because I find most people rather boring. The other day I took a program from an art exhibition I saw to work, thinking it was a big deal (it was Picasso, for God's sake) and no one even looked at it. I realised they are just morons. You are probably more intelligent and interesting than your friends. The trick is finding a group of likeminded people to hang with. And yes, that's difficult.
