I agree with Dulse. I like seeing other peoples point of views and sometimes I learn new things.
They vote your comment down because they disagree or just for fun. I wouldn't take it too personally although I don't like getting voted down either! ^.^
I only vote a comment down if I feel offended in some way by the comment and don't agree with what was said or if it was a joke in poor taste meant to put someone down...more so the latter. :):)
