Is it normal i dont belive in "gay"

To clarify, I dont believe in the labels gay, bi etc....
I think you like what you like and thats it, no "gay gene" or whatever, cause then wouldnt there have to be a bi gene or a foot fetish gene?

I don't know, am i right, am i normal, am i being ignorant?

I disagree. Labels are what we use to define something, if we didn't give a name to it, how else would we explain what it is?

Labels don't exist, but the ideas behind them do.

You are right. Sexuality is not black or white but an entire spectrum that is unique to each individual person.

Do labels not have some use as umbrella terms for people who have common features as part of their sexual make-up?

So you think gays don't exist. I have to disagree I know a few. Yeah it is kind of ignorant to not realize this is a thing yet.

There is some ignorance here. Just...well kinda dumb. Whether or not you prefer not to use labels they are indeed necessary at times. No. It doesn't matter what someone's sexual preference is. But if you're in a gay club hanging with friends and you're straight...the question "are you gay?" is very necessary for another guy to ask you before he grabs your junk.

I agree with the no gay gene thing. I don't think anybody's born gay, I think it's a result of their past and personality. It's just psychology. Otherwise gayness would run in families, which as far as I'm aware, it doesn't.

Also I agree about the "it's what you want" thing. I don't think anyone should be subjected to a label and that's it for life, you have to stick with that, I think it's more about choice. Just some people don't realise being gay is what they want at first.

  • To make myself clear what i meant by not believing in labels is i dont believe that someone can be 100% fitted into their label

I totally understand why they are used i was just wondering if anybody had any of the same thoughts as me.

I just feel like it doesnt make sense to me that someone can be born gay or born straight. I dont think there are people born with the genetic coding for all the complicated bi gay straight pedo kind of stuff.

Again these are just thoughts and feelings and theres no need to get angry over them, i am not trying to spread propaganda i am just opening dialogue

Gay ppl, whether male or female are born gay. As for fetishes. I believe that they come about by what you have experienced or what fantasies you have, & just good old curiosity. I had to try a lot of things to figure out what turned me on and made me hard.

When it comes down to sucking a cock, men are the best. Is that gay? Who knows but I live for it and women for fucking. I would rather fuck a woman in the ass than a guy so am I heterosexual?

Gay gene is bullcrap. The butthole is sensitive and the dick is as well. During your lifetime you may be inclined to prefer certain practices over others depending on the experiences that you have.

I agree that the labels we currently use aren't quite perfect, but for the sake of brevity, they're useful. In a perfect world, we'd be able to communicate more easily. However, this is what we have and quick communication is key. Telling someone you're straight is considerably quicker than going into full exposition on all of your sexual tendencies and that one time you gave a guy a drunken handjob.

As for genes and that, it seems likely that there is at least some genetic factors contributing to whether a person will be more prone to homosexuality or not, but culture and upbringing likely play a significant role as well.

Actually I have this other theory on Gays not being a real thing either, but I guess that would make me a bigot or something, so I'm told. even though I'm not "straight".

I vote ignorant. Explaining why is a waste of time.
