I think it would be expected that you don't trust men after the horrible things you have endured in your life.
Your mother is in deep denial, if it were any worse I would say that your mother is in such deep denial that she ought to dress up as Cleopatra for Halloween so she can ride in her barge on de Nile.
Have you tried getting any help to work through your trauma?
