This is true, some crazy monkey thought the imperfections of another monkey like creature was ok to have sex with. But evolution specifically is defined as the dying off of life that wouldn't conform, not the better (or worse) change in appearance.
Either way, there was obviously one sick monkey in our past, he was probably having sex with anything that moved.

Yeah I know dying is something too,they have to change something to eat
