I feel obligated to comment on this, but this mindset bothers me so much I don't even know what to say.
Native Americans knew where it was at... they didn't have theivery, they didn't have crime. If someone was too poor, the community would pull together to give them what was needed. Mankind has lost it's empathy and without community there is only chaos. You think the world is fucked up now? Well it's fucked up because lots of people think the same way you do, look out for your own skin no matter who you have to step on to get there... whereas if we were all simply good to one another, there would be no problems in the world.
I've been taken advantage of in the past, so I know what it's like. I'm more cautious now... I will be generous with you but only to a point. If I feel I'm being taken advantage of, I get myself away from that person. I've started to find better circles of people, and am finally seeing a bit of that kindness I passed around being paid back to me. It's quite nice. :x
