I feel very sad for you if you are serious.
We help other people for shared benefits. This can be motivated by personal gain, too.
We help other people because we care about them and their welfare.
We care about how their welfare affects our own, that's all.
That is intrinsic motivation, I believe. But I'm open to correction. I always fuck up when I use complicated terms and my psych classes were aaages ago :)
Is it normal I don't see why I should care about other people?
