Is it normal i don't like young people today?

I'm one of the young people myself. I reached 20 in october. But I don't think like all those young people. I embrace oldies music and I love hanging out with people that are 25+. All guys I've dated are 24+. I find young people hard to understand. I also don't use lots of "0.0
"s or things like that in my typing.A guy friend of mine says I have the mind of someone who is 25 years old. Is it normal or should I try to fit in?

    Im 20 too and I just think that kids these days have no respect or manners. I would never have dreamt of talking back to a teacher but it seems to be commonplace now!?

    Dont be something that your not. I used to but no longer associate age with intelligence or maturity.
    You are who you are, if people that are older than yourself gravitate towards you then great. However, listening to oldies music and not using emoticons do not necessarily make you mature.
    In my opinion, what makes someone mature is how they operate under situations, stressful situations, gossip etc - are you tactful. Also being true to yourself, letting go of anger/resentment, not letting other people affect your mood or your decisions. Thinking for yourself and recognizing and abiding by your moral beliefs. Understanding the impact that you have on the world and using that responsibly. Constantly trying to grow as a person.

    I haaaaaate tdays youth!! I am only 31 but i cldnt tolerate them then! Juuuuust ignorant .. Not all are but so many i just wanna go punch crazzzy on their face..young punks..lol!

    I know how you feel I've hated them for a long time,(ever since middle school) I just turned 19. older people are usually busy so I hangout with them when I can. so I don't have any friends my age really.

    I'm almost 20, myself. It's weird- it's like the older I get, the more I dislike people who are younger than me. Is this how most adults feel?

    I get what you're saying. I actually wouldn't mind dating a guy a few years older; I'm 20 and a lot of guys my age are immature. And some girls as well, this one chik bitched me out just because of something I asked her (she's about a year younger). And I'm not obsessed with everything that's popular at the moment like most of my generation, but whatever that's just me.
