Is it normal i don't like the manga and brotherhood version of fma?

Honestly, I don't care for them at all. Arakawa's style is pretty ugly, the plot doesn't appeal to me as much, and I don't like how she relies on so much comedy. I'd rather not get into all of the other reasons why I dislike the manga/Brotherhood, so to put it simply: I VASTLY prefer the first anime series of Fullmetal Alchemist.

    I've never really gotten into FMA, but from what I understand a lot of fans prefer the first anime series to the manga/Brotherhood. So you are not alone!

    My bro is the same way but I was never really exposed that much to the original FMA. If anything I think Brotherhood is fantastic.

    Funny enough last night we were talking about this. I liked the orignal series of FMA. I never actually watched the Brotherhood but I was told the first half was good, second half turned to shit and ended with a DBZ ending.
