Is it normal i don't like my mom

Ok i'm 17 and lately I've decided I don't like my mom that much. I know a lot of teens say they do because they get things taken away and then they go back to normal when mommy is buying them something but I just don't like my mom. She seems nice if others are around but when I make one stupid mistake she goes off the wall and flips out and will call me a moron, fat slob (she's actually pretty big herself but I won't say that to her) and ungrateful child when I don't even ask for anything. She'll say sorry after but she keeps doing it. She also throws stuff when she is mad and you can't reason with her. I'm sick of it. Is this normal and what can I do.

    Just think, only a few years an u can move out. Some people are not cut out to be parents.

    Sounds like my mom.
    But, you can report her for domestic violence, or wait it out.

    parenting is the hardest job in the world! You're very lucky to still have her! My mother died 10 yes ago. I promise you will understand her better when you have children of your own

    i hate my mum most of the time its normal they get all fussy and bitchy sometimes but u gotta live with it xx

    Take in to consideration, she could be going through a rough time.
    Raising teens is very hard on parents, even if you're a gem-- there's so many horrible stories, it can worry parents.
