Is it normal i don't get offended by people saying "that's gay"

First off i'd like to say I am openly pansexual, meaning I'm attracted toward people of all gender identities and biological sexes.
So, a lot of people in the gay community or whathaveyou seem to get extremely offended when people say, "That's gay!" about stuff, well it doesn't bother me at all and I admit to saying it.
Is it normal that I just don't find anything bad about it? Like, I know they're making fun of part of my community or whatever, but most of the time people just say it without even acknowlodging it that way [me included].

Any other people feel that way?

Is It Normal?

  • I'm bi and it doesn't bother me either. I still say it from time to time without even realizing it. It's normal.

  • I'm genderqueer pansexual and I totally get ya. I've also said it. I guess for me it is the same, that I'm not acknowledging any person of homosexual identity when I say it...I mean let's face it, "gay" used to mean happy. Words only have the power people give them.
