You can do you, and if you don't need others then it's alright.
A buddy of mine used to say he didn't need a car, he was fine walking everywhere. "I like the exercise" he used to say. I always used to look at him sideways when he said that, since he started preaching this new dogma right when all of us got cars and he didn't.
At first we thought he was just salty, but turns out he was practicing what he preached. Whenever we went out to do something he'd reject our lifts, never asked anyone for a ride. Not even when he had to walk home from a seedy disco at 3 am through one of the more... 'troubled' neighborhoods. The guy was always steadfast in his rejection of motorized transportation.
Until one day when we planned a trip across state. He really wanted to go, I could tell, but he didn't want anything to do with cars. We tell him it's ok, he can get a ride with us no problem, we weren't gonna rag on him, he wasn't betraying his morals etcetera, etcetera. He agrees.
On the day of the trip we meet up at my house to get things ready; final checks, make sure everyone brought what they had to, counting up how much cash we needed for gas. All that fun stuff. Then out of nowhere this guy, Mr. "I don't need a car" pulls in in his dad's brand new Corvette. Then he gives us some bullshit about not having enough space in his car to carry anything and how he couldn't fit anyone in his car.
After that we changed the trip's destination without telling him and left. He got lost somewhere in Oakland and ended up with four traffic tickets.
Point is, if you show up unprepared, don't expect to succeed.
IIN I don't care if I have no friends

...what?
This is nonsense. What does it have to do with the topic?
