It's normal. As long as you're rational enough to know that you'd be ending that person's life permanently, and that would affect everyone that knows them, and that the consequences that you would face would ruin your life, and that would affect everyone that knows you... it's not worth it. You'd never live down the guilt, etc...
I realize this, but I still have violent thoughts. I fantasize about choking the ever-living-shit out of my roommate, or smashing a cinder block over her face. But I'd never do it, no matter how angry I might be, or how satisfying it could potentially be.
