Is it normal i creep people out when i meet them?

Every time I meet new people at any kind of social gathering it takes like 5 minutes for them to typecast me as a weirdo, stop listening to whatever I'm saying, and generally associate me with all that is bad in the world right next to hitler, natural disasters, and sweat shops. I know it's me that's doing this, I've got a weird personality but I like to say what I mean and not beat around the bush with small talk, when I'm actually interested in learning about someone's college major I ask about it, I can have normal conversations but normally they're so boring and it creeps people out when they meet me cause apparently i just say weird shit.

    people think the same of me too.
    i have like 4 friends. and no one else.
    people don't like me for some unknown reason

    I am very much the same. I think what the previous commentor was saying was just put on an act. An act or 'normality'. Be normal while they're around then be yourself when they're gone. But, if you intend to be seeing this person a lot, then that's a different story. Be yourself then, because they need to know who you really are, whether they like it or not.

    lol I think this is normal, people are very judgmental. I would rather be looked at as a weirdo when I first meet people lol, people think I'm mean when they first meet me only because I can be kinda timid and don't smile too much, but get me talking and I don't shut the hell up =D just find people like you and you'll be fine

    Although being yourself is a good thing and should be supported sometimes being "different" can be bad and leave you alienated by those around you. I do the same thing so I know what I'm saying when I say put on show for people and they will love it. I'm giving an alternative because at the end of the day It doesn't matter what people think but they're easily manipulated. So if you want to keep the company of people you have nothing in common with follow my advice.
