Is it normal i crave guinness?

I am a social drinker, and I like to have drink once or twice a week. I have tried multiple beers, but my favourite has to be Guinness. As I've got older I've began to drink slightly more beer, but when I go down to the snooker club (I'm a semi-pro snooker player), I start to crave having a pint of the stuff.

Does this make me an alcoholic? Or do I have a dependency? I don't need a Guinness to function, I just really like it and want to drink it.

Is it normal? If not, what do I do?

Guinness is an acquired taste, but once you acquire it nothing else hits quite the same spot. Stick to drinking socially, so long as you aren't social every night, and you'll be fine.

I've found that beer and cocktails, like a lot of things, taste better the less often you drink them.

"I like to have drink once or twice a week."

This frequency alone isn't terrible, but it depends on how much you drink those one or two days. Also, having a craving for it is one of the signs that it's a problem.

Is it normal? It's somewhat normal. Is it healthy? No.

Well if you are Irish, I think it is a legal and moral obligation that you consume several pints of Guinness a day. But Guinness is not just a beer, it is a stout. And a creamy one at that. There are regulations on just how to properly pour a Guinness. Hell, with a Budweiser you just dump it into the glass or whatever you are using to drink it from. However, if you are anything but Irish, you are definitely an alcoholic.
