I like giving small gifts to almost everybody and anybody just to make them feel good. Esp if I see someone's having a bad day. Idk if its altruism or it it just makes me happy but I like giving people pleasant surprise. Like paying for someone's coffee or giving a gift card. Normal?
I hate when people buy my coffee and the barista asks if I'd like to continue by doing the same. No, I don't. I don't even want the free one. Let me buy my drink and mind your own business.
I guess it's okay as long as you don't expect anything in return, and you don't go into debt.
I have the same problem. I sometimes buy gifts for people, though, and then I feel weird about giving them away and embarrassed. I think it is nice. Want to be friends?
Hmm this made me reconsider. I will cut way down on this. No i dont expect anything and i certainly dont want the cashier to ask them to pay for the next person!
Normal, but keep in mind that not everyone likes to have things given to them. It personally makes me uncomfortable for various reasons.
I enjoy doing things for others, but I'm careful to make sure that they actually want me to help them. I dislike pushy, nosy people.

paying 20k in taxes to redistribute my wealth didnt seem to make poor people happy just resentful and more hateful. So i won't be giving people gifts to make them feel better and it damn sure didnt make me feel better knowing i bought a stranger a new car. Because thats what i needed to spend the tax on.
