  • Look up mnemonic devices using the google. My personal favorite is the method of loci, or memory palace. Mnemonic devices take advantage of the brain's behavior to remember things that would otherwise be very difficult. You can't remember your PIN, but I'll bet you can describe your home in intricate detail. The memory palace associates arbitrary information with (fictional) physical details.

    I remember my credit card number using a series of neon pipes arranged in the bar downstairs, tucked between the doors to the concert hall and the missile silo (memory architecture, incidentally, does not suffer from the limitations imposed by real-life physics).
