Yup ... I hate the feeling I get when I've said something that could be regarded as rude.
I get told by others that I'm a nice and polite person but with some people whatever you do is wrong because they just take everything so crazily personally. For example, this "friend" of mine. I wished him "Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year" on Christmas Day via text. Then on New Year's Eve I didn't see the need to text this person again since I had already wished him a "Happy New Year" on Christmas Day. But guess what, on New Year's Day this friend sent me a passive aggressive text. By the way, I haven't seen this person for months. Yeah, I know some pretty crazy people.
Oh the above mentioned incident with my b fs mom...
I was at home cooking chicken for chicken tacos. I have a baby I boiled bottles every day to sanitize them... I had them sitting in the clean sink water to be washed after being boiled .
My bfs mom comes over to see her grandchild ...she notices me cooking. She went to help and took the cutting board that had the raw chicken on It and put it in my sink! So I freaked out on the inside but managed to calmly say that because of that I need to take my bottles out to boil them again but I appreciate her trying to help. She kept telling me its ok everyone does this...I got irritated and told her "well im not everybody." And she ran out of my house crying...
I still remember the first time she had a moment...I went over to my (at the time new) bf ...I already ate so decided not to eat the food she had...my bf grabbed himself some and we went into his room to watch a movie.
she a few min later came in and started asking why he didnt grab any of the green beans she made...he said because he didnt want them...and she ran out of the house crying ...
Wow, your bfs mom sounds so much like my mom. They could be the same person.
This "friend" of mine gets upset over the tiniest things. Just yesterday I accidentally misspelled his name in a text, and of course he got annoyed over that. This guy is 24 years old by the way.
I have an understanding friend right now... she says sometimes she gets hurt but then tells herself that I am just honest and dont meen it in that way...and she said she appreciates my honesty because its a rare trait lol.
Your friends too old to get upset over the little things :P
IIN I can't stand people who take everything really personally?
