Since men have that handy appendage which reliably indicates arousal and yields orgasms, they tend to forget that sex isn't "regular" or straight-forward. According to my human sexuality professor (most awesome psych class ever) men don't even climax all the time, even when they come, which usually freaks them out a hell of lot more than it does women.
