  • Your question suggests grandiosity and a lack of empathy. You appear to believe you are better than others and you seem to think that, no matter how you behave and treat other people, that's irrelevant as long as you're happy with yourself.

    If you want to go off and live alone in a cabin in the wilderness, those traits would not be a problem. If you want to live in close proximity to other people and rely on them for your survival, those attitudes are going to cause problems.

    Many people with mental illness aren't upset by it and never seek treatment. The view looking out from their private world seems fine, even though they're making life for those around them pretty hellish.
