assuming that you two spend quite some time chatting and talking over the phone when you are apart, I think it's normal that when you are together the sex is a main part of your activities. I bet that after you have not seen your bf for a while you feel the need for physical contact too, right?
You should realize that your BF probably doesn't even consider this a problem, since us guys are even more focussed on sex. Even if you would tell him that you want to do something else when meeting up he will probably have difficulties to arrange this since it would be very forced and planned-out, which is something that is not a problem in a short-distace relationship because shared experiences just naturally occur.
If I were you I would not jump to conclusions and end it. First discuss it with him and maybe try to spend more time around him so that you get the opportunity to share more together and involve outside influences in the relationship.
