I gave up trying to analyze death and the possibility of an afterlife. Basically, we are living creatures and we simply cannot comprehend the act of not existing, since existing is everything that defines us. Trying to understand death is similar to a man who is born blind and tries to understand color, though at a much larger scale. Thinking about it is ultimately pointless, it's not something your mind can grasp. Let it go.
