I think that trying not to be creepy is one of the leading causes of actually being creepy. If you try not to be creepy, you'll only make things worse.
Perhaps you shouldn't even go so far as to act 'normal' around women; maybe they sense that there is some kind of artifice about you that puts them off. Be yourself, don't be normal - unless you happen to be some kind of perverted psychopath, then, by all means, be normal.
