IIN I’m finding conservatives just as whiny as liberals?

  • Conservatives have _always_ been the whiney ones. Haha. Not news. They short circuit about pee pees possibly touching other pee pees.

They loved to share this image of a couple of Hillary fans looking arguably teary eyed at the news that Trump won but they literally raided the Capitol to protest him losing and there are heaps of videos of them fucking bawling and praying to God about the fucking end times when Biden won.

"President Trump? I hope you have a plan! Please! President Trump? Save us! Save us from the devil! They don't even have our flag anymore! Biden's out there talking with some kind of crazy flag! I feel like I'm about to have a panic attack!"

I almost die laughing every time I watch that video. Jesus Christ lady. It's going to be okay. You're not going to get gang banged by universal healthcare. A living minimum wage isn't hiding under your bed.

    • I remember that video of the woman bawling and making a direct plea to Trump that he save the country. Watching it, I couldn't decide if it was sad or hilarious. I sorta came down on the sad side, since she was clearly distraught and going through a crisis.

The flag reference mystified me, though. When I learned it was because Biden had made a speech with a state flag (Delaware? Maryland?) in view on the podium behind him, I tilted back towards funny - even though I know it's not nice to laugh at the dim-witted.

But now I feel it's simply tragic that she was (maybe still is) so invested in Trump. The only person Donald Trump truly cares about is Donald Trump. He only cares about her and all his other supporters insofar as he can use them to pursue his sole goal: personal aggrandisement.

      • I frequently infiltrate Q groups on an app called Telegram for fun. It's amazing how deluded they outwardly are when they think it's just them around. There's almost nothing you can say that makes them suspicious and their sometimes empathetic (in regards to their own kind exclusively) responses to my fake distress elicit that same duality of comedy and sadness.

I mean you can really say anything. The other day I said something like, "Guys, I'm really getting scared. Ever since the 6th, I'm starting to think that's the real Biden and not one of us wearing a skin as part of the plan. I think they killed Trump and it's one of them in the Trump skin! You know they say he got the vaccine?! You know he never would have. I honestly think the Satanic Reptilians may have won and my own family thinks I'm going crazy!"

They were all like, "Remember the plan! Praying for you! Lots of our families think we're crazy. Keep the faith. People always think those who bring the revolution are insane just before the revolution occurs. The demons will not win."

Another time I said I was scared to death because my snowflake friend got the vaccine and I feared they were being controlled by Bill Gates now. Some seemingly really sweet, elderly woman said, "Sweetheart, it's normal to miss your friend but even Gates is part of God's plan. The sheep get the vaccine so that the weak are separated from the strong before the storm. The storm is coming and the light will overcome the darkness. Just pray for your friend's soul and you can still see him again in Heaven, Hunny. God is merciful and your friend had no idea what he was doing when he gave up his life."

It's like the batshit crazy you normally see multiplied by four or five and I think it's how a lot of them, like the woman in that video, actually feel. So it's definitely difficult not to feel empathy for them. I just remind myself that they're videos rather than live in front of me, cemented now and unchangeable. So I might as well have a laugh.

As for Trump, I totally agree. He was previously a registered Democrat, wonderful friends with the Clintons, and is on record saying that Democrats always handle the economy way better, which they factually have. He wanted to be president one way or the other and knew conservatives would be way easier to play. Prior to all this he wouldn't have been caught dead allowing a typical MAGA cultist to so much as walk on his rug.

That said, I think he actually does agree with them on many points. He's certainly racist and sexist. I'm not entirely sure he actually gives a flying fuck about if people are gay/trans and all that though.

      • I felt the same for a bit, but you do have to realize that these people are brainwashed by choice. It's not as if they are not granted access to information, to choices. They willfully chose to discredit or ignore it.

I mean, what else can you afford people? Everyone with an internet connection has been given the gift of unlimited access to almost every iteration of knowledge and opinion, but they just use it to look at cat pics and shit that confirms their own point of view. At some juncture, unless you're a fucking retard who can't read, ignorance is a clear and willful choice.

Unless, of course, you think trump fans actually suffer from mental retardation, which is a different matter altogether

        • I think they (for the most part) aren't outright mentally retarded but it's been verified that they're doing a little worse on average.

The main issue is their susceptibility to cognitive bias. The same internet that should be helping them out actually puts them in a far worse place than Fox news alone ever could because you can find anything on the internet and these people only search for what they want and leave it at that.

Same reason flat-Earthers are on the rise. Interestingly, I've noticed they're overwhelmingly MAGA cultists as well, at least in the groups I've infiltrated.

          • This is why you're my people. I've been railing about the inevitable polarization caused by search engine algorithm induced echo chambers on here for AGES, so I get that 150%, and i am of two minds about it.

Honestly, as funny as it is to think of die hard consevatives as toothless, uneducated yokels (and trust, I have laughed at the keppler cringe comp guy who was demanding to know why Obama was not IN THE WHITEHOUSE during the 9/11 attack), I just think painting conservatives as stupid people is not only wrong, but it also abdicates them from any responsibility.

I don't even dislike conservatives, tbf. Some of their points are absolutely reasonable. My dad is a die hard conservative, and he's a harcore environmental scientist, and one of the most selfless, overly empathetic people I know. I can objectively see the logic in his point of view. He isn't against social programs because he hates poor people. He just has a deep distrust for the government & thinks they will royally fuck up social welfare. I can hang with that.

The thing is, painting conservatives as illeterate, mouth breathing, maga hat retards...it's funny, but it's dangerous. For every retard out there, there's a shrewd, highly intelligent tax evading, offshore account having, insider trading twat. There are absolutely uber smart conservatives. There are middling conservatives. There are stupid retard conservatives. They all fucking have access to any information they want. They are responsible to seek it out. Just writing people off as too dumb to understand that means that you are excusing people from the responsibility of seeing both sides.

I'm not a conservative. I absolutely, ABSOLUTELY look into their talking points. Im not a liberal either & I do the same. People should be held responsible for not educating themselves before they formulate an opinion. The fact that this behavior is excused on both sides because the other end of the spectrum is retarded or brainwashed is inexcusable.

So I don't fucking feel bad for idiots who willfully chose the comfort of their echo chamber, who only seek out the things that confirm their biases. Those people need a motherfuck 'li-berry' card, for fucks fucking sake.

Writing trumptards off as too dumb to function means that they are not responsible for their bad choices & they FUCKING ARE.

Not the crazy flag lady though. She's a legit inbred retard hahahaha. So dumb

            • 95% percent of the time when I'm trashing "conservatives" what I really mean is "hardcore traditional social conservatives" and don't want to type all that. I simply cannot stand them or see validity in their points at all. Alternate sexualities harm absolutely _nothing_, the various races were barely allowed to even diverge at all given that the human species itself has only even existed at all for 0.002% of the age of the universe, and something about sexism has always particularly bothered me not just for moral reasons but because of how blatantly unscientific it is, and unscientific shit just bothers me.

Significant cognitive differences between sexes is virtually non-existent in the _entire_ animal kingdom, arguably exclusive to the three-spined stickleback in which case it happened for a very specific reason. In fact, it's almost weird that there _aren't_ more differences as there are sometimes wildly different body plans across sexes like in spiders, but the fact is that the shit simply doesn't really go down. Yet so many social conservatives clearly believe something as ludicrous as that cognitive differences between what's essentially type A and B of the exact same species, the smartest on the planet at that, leave one half unfit for certain roles. That's so fucking infuriatingly crazy to me.

Sadly, amongst this specific group, they _usually_ actually _are_ pretty stupid. There's no getting around it. I don't feel it gives them an out though because these are things I feel their empathy should compensate for. Even if they're stupid enough to think gays are weird or that certain races and women are slightly inferior, their empathy should cause them to still want to treat them with respect, and plenty of stupid people manage to have respect.

Fiscal conservatives and those like your dad are a completely different matter. I don't assume they're probably stupid and usually don't assume they lack empathy. I just presume I disagree with them about how to best handle certain things. Many of them are self-made millionaires and certainly not stupid. Many of them don't lack empathy at all as well. That said, there are also many of them that do very much have a "fuck other people anyway" attitude. It's a mixed bag.

I come from a conservative family of many generations (although my mom eventually shunned conservatism) and both of my parents were highly intelligent. If I really believed _all_ conservatives were tards that wouldn't be exactly great news for my own intellect from a genetic standpoint given that I came from a long ass line of them.

All this said, note that where I grew up, yes, they are all tards. The crazy flag lady is representative of the typical citizen there. It's part of what fuels my frustrations with them.

But yeah, I can't hang with shit like homophobia; that's just gayyyy.

              • Guys. Important side observation. Well invested intelligent financial conservatives need the aggregation of all echo chambers for actionable investment decisions. Look to London. The dry data that BBC publishes is statistical gold. And yes, moderate democrats manage the economy better in the long run. They understand that education, health, living wages for the proletariat give strength to the productive muscle that drives progress.

Okay. Enough said. Back to the controversy; I'm enjoying it.
