I'm hoping that the diabetes that we were both unaware of, may have been playing a big part in our moods towards each other. When she came out of the doctors office last week and told me that she had been diagnosed as diabetic with a 495 sugar level, it literally stopped me in my tracks. The next day she had 343, and her mood was much better. The doctor gave her a sample box with a complete unit to check her levels ten times. She damaged three sticks trying to learn how to use it, but when she got it right it had lowered in one day to 343. We didn't have anymore sticks to use for the next three days, so all we could do was to watch the diet. I got some more stick and now she's at 340. I'd hoped for lower, but it might take a week or so to get it down to near normal levels. When you're spouse gets sick like this, so unexpectantly, she and I have tried extra hard to pull together and get her health under control. There's still things that we disagree on, but we're more flexible with each other now I think.
