Is it normal for your bf to cheat on you, then completely shape up?

To make a long story short, my bf and I have been together almost a year. He cheated on me a few months into the relationship. I really love him so I decided to forgive him. We talked about it, and he's apologized profusely to me and I do believe that he's genuinely sorry and he won't do it again. He hasn't met up with the girl he cheated on me with since it happened, or texted her or anything, which I'm really thankful for. When I forgave him for cheating, he said that he really saw what a kind person I am and he realized that I truly am there for him. Since we've talked about it, things seem to keep getting better and better between us (we even live together now), so it feels like we're getting over the past and that we do have potential as a couple. So, what I want to know is... is it normal for a couple to go from cheating to being happy and successful together? Does this ever happen or is it just wishful thinking on my part?

    Yes! Especially if this happened toasted the beginning or even on the first year to be honest. He sounds like a keeper. Trust me this is normal because I'm guilty of cheating in the past and I know that he cares about you from what it sounds like, people make mistakes.

    I wouldn't trust a cheater. I know people change but why risk ruining everything. I always thought that if you're able to cheat on someone, it means you can't control yourself, you don't truly love the person you're with. Maybe he did learn his lesson, maybe he learned to not get caught the second time. If you're happy well good for you.

    people make mistakes, its up to you if feel you can trust him or not. but from experience it definetley does make the relationship stronger.

    My parents did this. If two people can make up after one has cheated then that shows that they are in a very strong relationship. I wish you two the best.

    Yes, That is normal..! It makes your relationship even stronger connection & communicating is most important thing to the key of your heart! I am having little problem with my relationship as of right now with communicating & trust issues. I am willing to do whatever it takes to make it work & stronger. Good luck with your relationship :) Hope things continue stays that way.
