I once had a girlfriend that used to tell me repeatedly that her ex-husband had always tried to talk her into trying group sex. What she never told me, however, was that she was averse to the whole idea. In fact, she even went so far as to tell me the names of her and her husband's friends that they had chosen to invite into their bedroom. Another thing she didn't tell me was whether or not they had ever gone through with their plans. After our relationship ended, however, it occurred to me that what she had told me was her way of trying to determine if I would be open to the subject. Well, hell yea!! But I was so deaf to what she wanted that I didn't catch on till it was too late. Oh well, live and learn I guess.
