  • I don't think it's a white thing, I think it's a British thing.

3 meals a day; breakfast, lunch, tea.
    Breakfast in the morning
    Lunch in the early afternoon
Tea in the late afternoon / evening

Tea time tends to coincide with the time most people are back from work, which is between 5 and 7.

Lots of European countries follow this sort of schedule but there are plenty of others who have their own traditional times for meals, and indeed their own category of meal. As I say, not a 'white' thing. Also, there are lots and lots of people who don't have a set time for meals. I

It might be different for you in your family because you're following a different tradition? You say you're pakistani / indian? Do you mean half and half? Were your parents born in Britain?
