Is it normal for white people to have dinner at 5:30

  • I'm English. When I ate dinner, I had it at 12:30pm. I did have tea at 5:30pm, though, which is what you intended. Now I eat anything at anytime. Basically, I eat if I'm hungry, which makes a lot more sense.

      • Heh! What's wrong with that? It's lunchtime! Dinner is lunch here. And tea is dinner. And you don't even want to know what we've done with supper and breakfast. :P

          • Dinner actually kind of is supper if it's at 8pm. Plus we have high tea, brunch, elevenses, and loads of people I know eat breakfast cereal right before bed. We are weird indeed but you love it. :P

            • Elevenses.. I didn't know that was a real thing. I'm actually watching all of the LotR movies right now, on The Return of the King, and Pippin' said in the first one, "What about elevenses? Luncheon? Afternoon tea? Dinner? Supper? He knows about them, doesn't he?"
Aragorn must be American. Haha. But yes, weird is always a pleasure. :P

              • Ha! Elevenses is great! Coffee and cake, or a biscuit and tea. Or, in my case, a cruller and hot chocolate.

You're up at a strange hour. You okay?

      • Hehe! I don't think there's an hour of the day when I've not eaten what is "technically" lunch. I had it at 4am a few times before Christmas. But it really is only technical for me as I usually only have one meal a day and there's no judging what that meal actually is. I've completely given up on mealtimes.
